1Aim of the Game
Match all eight word pairs — each word with its synonym — by flipping two cards at a time, clearing the whole board using as few moves as possible.
2How to Play
Click any face-down card to reveal it, then click a second card. If the two words are synonyms, they stay face-up and turn green. If not, both flip back down after a brief pause.
3Scoring
Your performance is measured in total moves — each pair of cards flipped counts as one move, whether or not it's a match. Fewer moves means a sharper memory.
4Board Size
The board holds 16 cards (8 matching pairs), shuffled into a new random layout every time you start a new game.
Tips for clearing the board in fewer moves
- Treat every flip as information — even a non-matching pair tells you exactly where two words are for later.
- Focus on remembering positions rather than words; once you recall where a card is, its content usually comes back to you too.
- Work through the board in a consistent mental order (like left to right) so you don't lose track of which cards you've already seen.
- Prioritise matching pairs you're confident about before gambling on uncertain guesses.
